Britain is a place that is rife with traditions and legends, so it is little wonder that the tradition of the white wedding dress was started by the English Monarchy. It was the wedding of Queen Victoria that spawned the interest and popularity of white wedding dresses as we know them today.Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxe in 1840, and wore what would then have been considered a flamboyant white gown. Of course, this did not start the tradition immediately; however, many women saw this as a statement of class and style, and copied the Queen by also getting married in white. The empire waist dress in those days had nothing to do with being virtuous -- it was all about wealth. Getting married in a white, extravagant gown was a sign that you could afford to buy a dress that you would never be able to wear again because of its style and colour (whites were not easy to clean in those days as they are today!).We are professional Wedding Dresses manufacturer & supplier and supply wholesale Fashion Wedding Dresses.

Hi,

Great work - love this plugin and the way it stores links free of URL's so that you can easily migrate sites.

I think I may have found a little error in your latest code.

When I run the latest version of RB Internal Links in a WP Multisite setup the plugin shows me a "RB Tests" custom post type. It's possible that this only happens for Multisite Superusers.

Can this be removed from the plugin?

Thanks

When I change the permalink to "electrostatic-c" then RBIL has no problem creating a proper link.

Hi! I have a frustrating situation where RBIL creates a malformed link -- but just to one single page on my site! The problem page is literally a Page, as opposed to a Post, and I think that's the root of the bug. As a page, the link should follow the hierarchy of its parents: i.e: http://site.net/grandparent/parent/page/. RBIL does this perfectly on all my site's pages except for the problem page, links to which it renders like this: http://site.net/2010/07/problempage/ . I think for some reason RBIL believes the page is a post, because the bad link resembles the Permalinks structure I have chosen for posts ("Month and name"). I have tried numerous times to re-input an RBIL link to this page to no avail. Manually inserting a regular HTML link works properly, but I'd like to be about to count on managing links site-wide via RBIL. I just last week updated the site to WP 3.0.1; I think the link was functioning before that. When I look at the wp_posts table in phpMyAdmin, the page has a "post_type" of "page." So I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Works great for any link created with RB Internal Links and my users can change the sidebar copy as they see fit. Thanks again for a great plugin.

Hello,

Great plug-in, I absolutely love it!

BUT.

One of my blogs is in Cyrillic, using Unicode. When I am choosing a page through this plugin, instead of the Cyrillic names I see the unicode text, e.g.

Об Авторе

I'd rather like to see what it should really read :)

So, I'd ask you to update this plugin, to check the blog's WP properties. If it is configured with Unicode, then to treat the posts' and pages' titles as they are Unicode'd.

Thank you!

Hi, RB Internal Links is working great on two sites, one running WP 3.01 and another under WP 2.84. Can't say enough about how good this plugin is.

However, one of my clients needs an advanced CMS solution that will allow them to edit sidebar text as well as the main content area. I have added the Page.ly MultiEdit plugin, which creates multiple editing zones from custom fields. Using CSS, I have created a three column design with editable sidebar content coming from custom fields.

Unfortunately, the RB Internal Links short code does not render from the sidebars, although it continues to work in the main content area. I saw your answer in another post suggesting that it was possible to run custom fields through a short code renderer.

I attempted to make this work by adding the short code PHP function to the page template. When that failed, I tried adding the do_shortcode function to my functions.php file. Neither of these solutions worked. I tried various code arrangements. Some did nothing, while others triggered the "Incorrect shortcode for RB Internal Links" error message.

Obviously, my code is not interacting with RB Internal Links properly.

Could you suggest how to run the custom fields through the rendering mechanism? I realize this is a special case, but I am confident that there are many other users who want the CMS functionality of MultiEdit with the internal linking of RB Internal Links.

Regards, Tom

Hi,

I needed few internal links in my upcoming blog and I found this plugin. First of all, I'd like to thank you for having the time to make it so that it can help a lot of us, WordPress users. Although I found the plugin very useful, there were few issues that I'd fix in it myself.

1st Issue

One thing I noticed missing from the plugin was the ability to add additional url parameters to the links. The blog I'm currently working on will have multiple subpages inside one article and I had the need to link to anchor sections on other subpages of the same article.

This issue really didn't drop to the "Feature request" category since I fixed this issue by myself. If you would like to take advantage of my changes in the code, the modified version of the plugin can be downloaded from:
http://share.hugesolutions.fi/wordpress/rb-internal-links-2.0.12-modification.zip

Additions:
- Parameter that allows to add subpage number to the link to be created
- Parameter that allows to add more additional url-parameters to the links (in case of dynamic pages for example)
- Changed also the form with which the link can be edited to include an input box for these parameters

2nd issue

It might really be helpful for some users if the link could be edited or deleted with the "RB Internal Links" button in the editing view of a post. Now all the edits have to be done manually to the tag or by regenerating the link with the same button.

3rd Issue

A small help page or screenshot in the plugin page would really be helpful. When I first started to use the plugin, I didn't find the right button in the button menu in the TinyMCE editor. If I had seen a screenshot of it, it would've helped me a lot to get started.

and the p tag comes out after the post. Can someone tell me the right syntax?

Looks like this is down to another plugin... actually two similar plugins which I was trying to use, which both seem to be breaking any other shortcode used on a page/post. One is "CompositePost" and the other is "ggis Inline Post". Both are allowing for an entire WP post to be inserted into any other WP post or page within that site.

Unfortunately both these plugins not only affect the Internal Links shortcode, but also the image caption code and many others, when used within the same post or page.

Shame - but at least it looks like this has nothing to do with the Internal Links plugin.

Not sure if it's the plugin or something else that needs to be configured, but the link I created in one of my posts doesn't appear in the feed. The link and text are missing completely from the feed. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Same thing here, only I'm using the original loop. But I noticed that the links display fine, if I do not use any other shortcode plugins in the post/page.

http://www.streathammarlboroughcc.co.uk/index.php/home-test/

As soon as I insert another bit of shortcode from another plugin (i.e. Recent Posts Embed, Composite Post or ggis Inline Post) the links are not showing properly, and the shortcode is seen instead.

Needless to say that I am using the latest version, and that I tried quite a few combinations. All without success.

I like your little plugin and it's quite unique. So I'd really appreciate a solution if possible.

Thanks!!

Hi. I've been using this great plugin for over a year at my very busy local news site. Lately, we've had two database problems, resulting in 404's for all of our posts. A simple Repair Database command in WP-DB Manager fixed the problem both times, but it was pretty scary. I'm thinking the problem comes from a conflict between RB Internal Links and some other plugin, since this has happened both times since the latest update to RB Internal Links. I think there have been other plugin updates recently as well.

My Wordpress installation is not in the root of my site. It's in a directory like http://mysite/wp/. Is the plugin having a problem with this structure, all of a sudden?

Hey Hugh,

Sorry its taken so long to reply! I think I've managed to fix issue #1 in the latest version.

As for issue #2, could you make sure your category content output is using "the loop" or that you manually pass it through the do_shortcode function (see http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode)

Thanks, I hadn't realised they'd made that change. You are correct, including wp-load.php is the new preferred method and RB Internal Links will do this as of the next version, 2.0.13.
