Could use a hand trying to get this to work...
When I highlight a word or phrase that I would like to link to something else, I click on the icon in the editor for (RB IL). A box pops up, but never
completes and is blank. Black border, gray interior. Nothing else happens.
What can you suggest to fix this?

Sounds like the editor fails to load, could be a number of things, but its normally a conflict with another plugin.
What browser are you using at the moment? Do you have Firefox? If so you may be able to help me out by using the error console (Tools > Error Console) to find the problem. Open the error console, clear whats already in there, then try to use the plugin. Paste any error messages (errors only, no warnings etc) back here.
If you don't have Firefox, and don't want to install it for testing, could you try disabling all other plugins and seeing if it works without any plugins. Then turn them back on, one at a time, to see which one causes it to fail.

If you disable Thesis Open Hook and try to use the plugin does it work?
